I am a designer.
I design businesses, workflows, wireframes, products, services, experiences, roadmaps, blueprints, and workshops.
My interest in design began after studying architecture and city-planning at Bryn Mawr College and I was able to take my appreciation for well-executed space into a career in organic agriculture. I would spend winters meticulously crunching numbers and laying out each crop on a blueprint and then execute my vision in the spring. I took my love of design and passion for spreadsheets to a joint MA/MBA graduate program at Johns Hopkins University and the Maryland Institute College of Art. There, I learned design thinking as a way to create innovative and sustainable solutions to thorny problems.
Now, I’ve worked as a design strategist for FedEx and Booz Allen Hamilton, leading user-driven design projects and teaching design thinking across the organization. In my free time, I work as a small-business consultant through Hippie with a Spreadsheet.
